The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) is the publishing house established by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1972 to publish his teachings, writings and lectures, as well as works by other authors about Vedic Spirituality. These books cover such diverse topics as reincarnation, vegetarianism, mantra meditation, devotional service, and the true nature of the human body, the spiritual soul, and our divine relationship with God.
The BBT has published Srila Prabhupada’s books in more than 90 languages and also publishes audio CD’s, videos and multimedia presentations of his works.
BBT Africa was established in February 2010 to make this literature available to the people of Africa. Apart from distributing books in languages like English and French, BBT Africa publishes titles in Swahili, Zulu, Xhosa, Setswana and Afrikaans, and has titles in production in Amharic, Creole and Chichewa. Its head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa but has ambassadors based in Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Kenya, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Botswana, Nigeria and Mauritius.
